![]() I am pleased to inform you that The Kidney Foundation of Canada's Founder's Award Gala will be held on November 15th, 2007, under the Honorary Chairmanship of Tony Loffreda, Regional Vice-President, Quebec West, RBC Royal Bank. The Gala's featured show will be by the "Man of Truths and Illusions", Gary Kurtz. Also, at this occasion, The Kidney Foundation of Canada will be conferring its 2007 Founder's Award upon Dr. Jean-Guy Mongeau, one of Quebec's leading figures in the field of paediatric nephrology. Dr. Mongeau spent his career at CHU Sainte-Justine where he founded the Department of Nephrology. In addition to his important work at the clinical level, he also co-founded the Dialysis and Kidney transplant Departments and conducted several research projects on high blood pressure in children. Dr. Mongeau has dedicated twenty years to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, as a member of the board, medical advisor, and provincial vice-president. The Founder's Award Campaign allows the Foundation to meet the goals of its Mission Statement - to fund and stimulate innovative research, provide leadership in the promotion of organ donation and provide patient services, including a summer camp expressly adapted for children with kidney disease. We hope that you will be with us on this very special evening to pay tribute to Dr. Jean-Guy Mongeau and to support The Kidney Foundation of Canada. We invite you to register as soon as possible. |
