Research: an investment in the future

The death of a young Montreal architect from kidney disease in 1964 sparked the creation of The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Enormous progress has been made since those early days. The Foundation's investiment in research, more than 73 million dollars in 41 years, has resulted in significant improvements in many areas, including breakthroughs in dialysis, transplantation techniques and anti-rejection medications.
