The Kidney Foundation of Canada is a volunteer organization with branches in every province.

The Quebec Branch comprises the whole province with eight regional chapters that serve various parts of the Quebec territory.

  • The promotion of early detection in partnership with the R�gie r�gionale and the CLSCs
  • Advocacy of patients rights, particularly concerning the creation of satellite hemodialysis units
  • Direct support to patients and their family
  • " Last resort " travel and accommodation fees
  • Responsiveness to patients needs and specific assistance

  • March: March Drive Campaign, fundraising campaign
  • May 1st: Spaghetti Day organized at the Sheraton Laval by the Laval Brotherhood of Policemen. This activity enables everyone to help The Kidney Foundation of Canada while enjoying a spaghetti and pizza meal. Shows, games and animation for the whole family.
  • September-October: Halloween Campaign, sale of Life Savers lollipops and peanuts
  • Year-round: Donate your old car to Kidney-Car Program or participate in the Founder's Award Campaign.

Founder's Award Campaign

   

In 1991, The Kidney Foundation of Canada created the Founder's Award Campaign to pay tribute to its Founding President, Mr. Arthur I. Boidman. The Founder's Award Campaign is a fundraising initiative based on the co-operation and participation of the Montreal business community in the fight against kidney disease. The annual presentation of the Founder's Award, the height of this campaign, underlines the exceptional contribution of a person's efforts to overcome kidney disease.
